As I stand in front of my painting, I am reminded of the dreamcatcher that my grandmother had in her room. It always fascinated me how something as simple as a piece of string and feathers could capture and hold onto our dreams. But my painting tells a different story, one of letting go. The golden dots represent our hopes and dreams, but as they get smaller, they remind us that these things are not forever. The dark green background reminds me of the comfort and security we can find in nature, a reminder to appreciate the beauty of the present moment.
