For this acrylic painting, I drew inspiration from Caspar David Friedrich's "Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog." Friedrich often depicted figures turned away from the viewer, emphasizing the contemplative nature of the scene. In my interpretation, I transformed the sky into a dreamy cotton candy wonderland, and the wanderer is no longer a physical human being, but rather a ghostly apparition wandering through the fantastic skies. The figure embodies hope and a deep sense of trust, as they search for their true self amidst the infinite expanse of the cosmos.
